Microblading is the best alternative to makeup or other permanent makeup procedures. It looks incredibly natural as it is precise stokes that give the illusion of real brow hairs.+ During the procedure, custom blended pigment is implanted in the basal membrane, which divides the epidermis from the dermis layer of the skin. A sterile hand tool with fine needles is used to create the hair like strokes. Microblading usually lasts 18 to 24 months, depending on the exposure to sun, skin care regime and pigment resistance.
This Microblading procedure is an excellent option for:

  • Refining & adjusting brow shape
  • Lack of definition
  • Over tweezed brows
  • Areas that won’t grow
  • Symmetry
  • Scarring
  • Alopecia
  • Active lifestyles

The purpose of Microblading is to gently enhance your own natural features and create a customized look that suits you!

The procedure is 2 hours long and includes your consultation on the same day.

If you would like to know the cost of your procedure before your appointment, please email thebrowstudio.mission@shaw.ca with a photo of your natural brows or call the studio.

You will have a consultation, and then a topical anesthetic will be applied to numb the area. Your brows will be architecturally designed and drawn on using a makeup pencil so you can have an idea of how your enhanced eyebrows will look.

Over the next hour and a half, fine hair-like strokes will then be added to the skin using a sterile, disposable blade. You may initially feel a bit of discomfort in the beginning but this will subside pretty quickly.
A custom blended pigment will then be applied to the area and left on for 15 minutes. After wiping off the pigment, any additions will be made if necessary.

When complete, your brows will be topped with oil as a balm.
For the first few days, you may feel overwhelmed by your new brows. Be patient! Your brows will be darker than you would expect. Don’t panic! This is part of the healing process and you’ll notice they start to lighten within a few days.

  • Rinse your brows with water only
  • Keep your face dry in the shower
  • Reapply oil twice a day
  • Your brows may feel itchy but DO NOT SCRATCH

By day 10, your brows should be pretty much healed!

Follow simple instructions so you will heal much faster and pigment loss will be minimal.

In approximately 30-45 days, you’ll want to book in for a touch-up appointment. This is included in your initial service. You will have any areas that may have lost pigment filled in.

This method is great for anyone wanting to enhance or reconstruct the look of their brows.
